SHEENA (Sheena Rice) 

Born in Michigan, raised in Portland Oregon, and now calling the vibrant shores of San Diego, California home, SHEENA’s journey is as diverse as her music. 

Born into a household with Deaf parents, SHEENA's early years were filled with a unique fascination for sound and music. As a proud user of American Sign Language (ASL) as her first language, SHEENA's innovative approach to songwriting embraces ASL as a powerful medium of expression, breaking down barriers and fostering inclusivity within the music industry. Her upbringing ignited a lifelong passion for musical expression, leading her to immerse herself in the art of singing and songwriting from a young age. With an innate talent for playing by ear. 

SHEENA made her debut with her song “Strawberry Lemonade” in 2024, which was nominated for San Diego Music Awards 2025 “Best Americana Song”. Since then, she continues to release more music and is currently working on her first album.

Her music can be described as indie folk. Characterized by her pure and authentic voice, her singing style is earnest and sincere, creating a heartfelt listening experience.
